This is a summer reading bookmark I made for today's Hanna Stamps challenge over on SCS - you can view the challenge here. It's also a sneak peek at the new "Pool Party" set. Today's challenge is to make something flat that is not a card - today is the start of the BOGO book fair at my DS's school to stock up on summer reading material - so I was inspired to make him a bookmark for his summer books (he REALLY loves to read). I used the bookmark style from one a past TLC challenge on SCS - but cannot find the link for the bookmark to save my life this morning ( have I mentioned it's been one of THOSE mornings?). I know I started with a 3 1/8 in square for it - I punched my bottom border first with my Martha Stewart Zig Zag edge punch - stamped my images on it - masked them - then airbrused the pool water on and colored my iamges in with Copics. I added the sentiment with Doodlebug Rub-on letters and some ribbon for the top.
So when are these gonna be released??? The new sets will be available on Monday night - May 4th - after the release party over on SCS. The Hanna Stamps May release party is from 9-11 PM and it's always a blast!! There are lots of fun challenges, chatting, prizes, etc. in store - so be sure to swing by!! And be sure to pop in my fellow DT blogs for more awesome sneak peeks - as well as our 2 May guest designers - Nikki Fairburn and Pam Varnell! Have a wonderful Friday - thanks so much for stopping by!!
