Bless You

Here is my sneak peek for you today - this is a peek of the new "For the Soul" Hanna Stamps set being released this Friday, October 3rd. The Hanna image and the window image are 2 seperate stamps - I masked the Hanna and then stamped the window so that it looks like she is standing in front of it. As soon as I saw this stained glass window image - it brought back memories of the beautiful stained glass windows in the church I went to when I was little - being a typical little girl getting antsy in the middle of a sermon - I used to sit and look at all the intricate pieces and colors in those windows - so I knew I wanted to color this window like the ones I saw in my head. I colored the image in with Copic markers and then cut it out with long rectangle Nestibilities. The background paper is from the Die Cuts with a View "Once Upon a Time" stack. The flower is by Petaloo and the little "leaves" were from the Martha Stewart Branch punch. The sentiment is from an old clear Wordsworth set I had tucked away.

I hope we will see you this Thursday night at the Hanna Stamps release party over on SCS from 9-11 PM - the winners of the Design Team Blog Candy will be announced at the start of the party too - so don't forget to leave a comment on this and then the other design team members' blogs for a chance to win a never before released Riley stamp!!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!

And speaking of sneak peeks - I have a couple for you today...

The sneak peeks I have for you today were done using the new "Ski Bunny" set which will be releasing this Friday, October 3rd. Isn't she a beauty?? I just LOVE this image!!! The pink one at the top of this post was done using the main image in the set - Hanna was colored in with Copics and cut out with long rectangle Nesties. The snowflakes are brads with a rhinestone sticker in the center of each one. The pink panel behind Hanna was embossed with the Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder. The sentiment is by Stampendous.

The second sneak peek I have for you is a little cocoa holder I made using the Ski Bunny set. The scarf and the mug are both from this set and were colored in with Copics. The sentiment is by Stampendous. For this project - I just folded a piece of light blue cardstock around a pak of instant hot chocolate mix and then layered a piece of embossed white cardstock over that blue cardstock - I cut off an inch of the width before I put it over the blue to give a layered effect. I tied a bag of marshmallows onto the envelope with organdy ribbon and embellished with the stamped images.

Thanks so much for stopping by - I'll have more sneak peeks for you tomorrow - don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win a new Riley and be sure to visit the other design team blogs for a chance to win as well!!

Give That Girl Some Candy!

Happy Friday!! It's that time of the week again - time for the Friday Hanna Stamps challenge over on the Hanna Stamps members forum at SCS - our fabulous design team members always come up with the best challenges - I hope you will come play with us this week! This week's challenge is from Kendra and the challenge is make a Halloween 3-D item. I had fun with this one - I love playing with paper and making it into boxes, bags, etc. - when I was little - my mom would give me a stack of construction paper, scissors, glue, and markers and I would make purses, jewelry, make-up, etc. - all kinds of things out of paper! I don't do enough of these projects - I have so much fun making them!! This is my first 2-5-7-10 box that I have made - you can view the Splitcoast Tutorial on how to make them here. I used a heavy paper from the DCWV Halloween Glitter Stack for my box. The Hanna that I used is from the "My Best Friend" set - I masked the Trick or Treat bag from the Halloween Mini set into her hand - then I colored the image with Copics and cut it out. The candy is also from the Halloween Mini - I just colored it, cut it out and adhered it to the box with pop dots. The ovals behind Hanna were cut with the oval nesties and the ribbon is from Wal-mart. Thanks so much for stopping by - I've got a big week of sneak peeks for you next week - it's an exciting week at Hanna Stamps - not only are you in for some fabulous new releases - but Hanna Stamps is celebrating it's 1st Anniversary!! You're in for a week of challenges, prizes, blog candy - oh - and don't forget - you still have time to get your name into the drawing for that air compressor - for every $50 you spend at Hanna Stamps - you'll get your name put into the drawing!!

Kick Back and Relax

Ahhh...this is SO what I want to be doing today - curled up in my robe and slippers with the third book of the "Twilight" series (yes - I am SERIOUSLY addicted to these books - hee hee) - ahhh...wouldn't that be nice?? But yes - inevitably reality calls - usually in the form of a naughty 3 year old who is usually up to no good - ROTFL!!! Anywho - this is a card I did for 2 challenges today - the first one is Cindy's MFT sketch challenge over on SCS - you can see her wonderful sketch here - it was a perfect sketch to go with today's "Ways to Use It" challenge over on SCS too - that little embellishment spot was perfect for a charm! I used the MFT "Bunny Slippers" set - one of my faves - this is SUCH a cute stamp and so much fun to color. I colored the whole image in with Copics - the dots were done with a white gel pen. I used Liquid Applique on the white spaces of her robe - this was my first time using this stuff and it is very cool!! The pink paper is from the Die Cuts With a View Nursery stack and the green papers are from a My Mind's Eye stack from Hobby Lobby. The flower is a Prima and the charm was sent to me by my friend Jennifer - she was so sweet and sent me a bag of these adorable heart charms. I used the Martha Stewart Branch punch for the flower "leaves". Thanks so much for stopping by!

Meet Me Under the Mooseltoe

I'm back!! Sorry for the lack of posts - my hubby and I got back from Tennessee on Sunday and I've been super busy getting caught up from being gone - this was the first chance I had to stamp since I got back! We had a wonderful time on our anniversary trip though and the kiddos had a fun weekend with Grandma too! I made a card for today's sketch challenge over on SCS - I figured it was a good way to get warmed up after a week away from stamping. You can see the sketch here. I used Riley carrying his Christmas tree for my card today - I masked him off and stamped the Haunted House from the My Favorite Things "Monster Squad" set behind him - I just colored to look more like Gingerbread House than a spooky house - LOL!! My image was colored in with Copics. I used the new Snow Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder on the red panels - what a cool folder!! The sentiment is from the "Things Riley Would Say" set. The snowflakes are brads - I put a little red gemstone sticker in the middle of each one for some extra bling. Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Ghouls Rule

Have I mentioned how much I love these Stampotique stamps by Daniel Torrente?? Hee hee...I think little miss "Gooseneck" here is my favorite!! This is my card I did for today's sketch challenge over on SCS - you can see the sketch here. This was a fun sketch - I dug thru my scrap from my Die Cuts with a View Glitter Halloween stack for the blocks of patterned paper on this card. The orange panel was embossed with the Spiderwebs Cuttlebug embossing folder. I colored the image in with Copic markers. The sentiment is from one of the new Studio G Halloween clear $1 stamp sets and was cut out with oval nestibilities. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and the bats are from the Hanna Stamps Halloween mini-set - just stamped and cut out. Thanks so much for stopping by - my hubby and I are going to be heading out of town for a nice long relaxing weekend tomorrow - so this will be my last post this week - be sure to stop in next week for some more fun creations!! Have a wonderful rest of your week and weekend!!

Just Dropping You a Line...

Hope you are having a great start to your week!! I have been busy busy getting stuff all done before my hubby and I leave for a long anniversary weekend in Nashville, Tennessee. One of the things on my list this week is to finish my cards for a montly card swap I am in here locally. I get to meet a bunch of wonderful and talented ladies once a month for lunch and to swap cards. The stack of cards in the pic are the ones I will be taking with me for this month. I used Fishing Riley for my card - he was colored in with Copics and I cut him out with circle nesties. The sparkly fish on my red background were so fun to do - the fish and the sentiment are both from one of the Inkadinkado $1 stamp sets - I stamped the fish image all over the red background using Versamark ink - then I embossed them with red Embossing Tinsel - this stuff is SO cool - but SO messy!! The strip of fish hook paper is from the Die Cuts with a View Summer stack from this past summer. All cardstock used for this card is from Archiver's. Thanks so much for stopping by - I am gonna try to post one more creation tomorrow before we leave on Thursday - so I hope you'll check back in!!

Peace, Love, Joy?

Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend! We have had a great weekend here - my 6 year old had his first soccer game on Saturday and then we nervously watched the Colts win today - yikes - that was a close one, huh?? Whew - I can't handle many more games like that - LOL!! I've got an interesting card to share with you today - I was playing with some stamps that I picked up last time I was at Papertrix in Nashville, IN - and I picked up this little guy to ink up - he's pretty cool and very different and I LOVE him!! He looks kinda sad, doesn't he? Like maybe he needs a big Christmas hug and some peace and joy around the world this holiday season! ;) This is a stamp called "Joy" and is from the new holiday line of Daniel Torrente images by Stampotique. I love his stamps - I have quite a few of them and need to use them more often - they remind me of a Tim Burton animated movie - like "Nighmare Before Christmas" - one of my all time faves. I first saw this line of stamps on Vicki Garrett's blog and just fell in love with them - she does a WONDERFUL job with them!! Shortly after I saw them on Vicki's site - I was in Papertrix and discovered that Cindy had started carrying them down there and was so excited - I will probably send this card down to her for the store - she just got all the new holiday stamps in. Anywho - I colored him in with Copics and cut him out using the long rectangle Nestibilities. I embossed the deep red circle with the new Ornaments Cuttlebug embossing folder. Peace, love, and joy are sentiments from the new Hero Arts Christmas Owls set - which you can also find at Papertrix. Thanks so much for stopping by!!

It Moose Be Love

Yes - it really "moose" be love - my wonderful hubby and I are celebrating our 6th Anniversary this Sunday - September 14th. I knew I wanted to use this sweet Riley and Sophie stamp on his anniversary card - he LOVES Riley and well - Riley has become a big part of our lives in the past few months! :) So I was really excited when I saw Shannon's sketch for today's Hanna Stamps challenge - that square is perfect for this image - so I combined my challenge card with my anniversary card. You can see Shannon's awesome sketch here - I hope you will all come play along with us this week! I colored in the image with Copic markers - and added a little bit of Stickles to her flowers and dress. I stamped the champagne glasses in the background as well and then colored them in ever so slightly with Copics. The champagne glass stamp is from the Hanna Stamps "Sweet Celebrations" set. The sentiment is from the "Things Riley Would Say" set - a must have for all Riley lovers! The litle pearls are adhesive backed pearls from Hobby Lobby. The gray strip behind the image was embossed with the Birds and Swirls Cuttlebug folder. Thanks so much for stopping by and speaking of anniversaries - don't forget about the ongoing 1 Year Anniversary promotion at Hanna Stamps - now thru October 1st - for every $50 you spend - you will get your name put into that drawing for the Copic Air Compressor or $200 shopping spree - so be sure to check that out!!

A Night of Stamping

Well - it's almost midnight here in Indiana and I really should be in bed - LOL!! But instead I have been up stamping since I put the kiddos to bed - and having a great time I might add! First of all I promised baby news, didn't I?? I got to meet my new nephew this morning - Lucas Garrett was born at 3:30 PM on Tuesday, September 10th - he is 7 lbs. 11 oz. and has beautiful black hair like my brother!! He is SO precious!! Both mom and baby are doing wonderful!!

The first card I made tonight was for the Thursday MFT Sketch Challenge over on SCS - you can view Cindy's sketch here - I am so happy I got to play today - I always love Cindy's sketches and that long rectangle was just begging for me to ink up my "Monster Squad" set! I love these little guys - they were colored in with Copics. The sentiment is also from this set. The paper is from the Die Cuts with a View Halloween Glitter stack - I have been wanting to use this paper with this stamp ever since I saw it. I used the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo border punch to do the decorative edge. The ribbon thing in the corner is nothing fancy really - just 3 pieces of ribbon knotted together.

The second card I made was another Chef Hanna card - I think she may officially be my favorite Hanna - I am finding she is VERY versatile - I turned her into a cupcake baker for my card! I colored her in with Copic markers and just used a pink gel pen to make her pink polka dotted dress. The sentiment on this card is from the Stampendous Merry Muffins set (an Eclectic Paperie exclusive). The cupcakes in the background were all stamped - they are from the Hero Arts clear Cupcakes set - I stamped them all and then colored them in with Copics. The purple strip was embossed with the Cuttlebug Argyle embossing folder and the ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

So Sweet in Yellow

Happy Wednesday!! It's been quite a day today - I got a call from my brother this morning - his wife is having her baby as we speak - so we are getting a new addition to our family today and I am going to be an aunt for the 15th time today - and it's still as exciting as the first time!! Hee hee...have I mentioned I come from a big family?? I am very excited for my brother and his wife - all is going well with the delivery and I will be sure to share all those important baby stats tomorrow! I also had the great pleasure of meeting a fellow member of the Hanna Stamps Design Team today!! I had a wonderful lunch with Judy Workman today (we only live a few minutes away from each other, how cool is that!?) - I think I may have talked her ear off though - hee hee...I had a such a great time - Judy is SO sweet - I hope we get to do it again soon!!

Anywho - after all the excitement this morning - I did manage to come home and make a card for today's sketch challnege over on SCS - you can see the sketch here. I used the new Kiss the Cook set from Hanna Stamps for my card - I colored her in with Copics and paper pieced her apron and hat with paper from the DCWV Boy Nursery Stack. I also gave myself a personal challenge when I pulled out this stamp set - I challenged myself to color this Hanna in something other than red - every project that I have made with this Hanna - I have colored her dress in red - hee hee...my sister-in-law once told me that she painted her kitchen red because red makes people think of food - hmmm....maybe she's right - maybe that's why I see Chef Hanna in red - LOL!! So anywho - I went with yellow - a bold choice for me seeing how I could probably count the number of yellow cards I have made in my life on one hand. I decided I don't use enough yellow - it's such a happy color!! The sentiment is from a Studio G clear $1 stamp set and the flowers are Primas. All the little pearls on this card are little pearl stickers from Hobby Lobby. Thanks so much for stopping by!!

One More Witchin' Chica...

So I showed my other MFT Hey Chica! card to my dear friend Jennifer this morning and we started talking about all the stamps we could use as tattoos on that sexy little arm of hers - well - Jennifer came up with the idea of using some of the little stamps from the new Halloween series of Studio G $1 stamps (this series found at JoAnn's) as tattoos on her arm. Well - she got that idea stuck in my head and it was bugging me until I finally stamped it - LOL!!! Thanks for the inspiration this afternoon, Jennifer!!! ;) I colored my Chica in with Copics again - I wanted her to have black hair - but opted to use darker gray Copics (C5 & C7) to color her hair so that her hair had more depth - basically I used gray to color her hair black. I got her all ready for Halloween with a spider tattoo and a bright orange shirt. The orange background was embossed with the Spiderweb Cuttlebug embossing folder. I stamped the little orange kisses all over the white background. The sentiment is from the MFT "Totally Witchin" set - which I just adore too. The ovals were cut using my oval nestibilities. The orange flowers are Primas and the little black brads in the middle are by Spare Parts - found at Hobby Lobby. Thanks so much for stopping by - I promise to use a different stamp tomorrow - hee hee...just had to get this idea out of my head onto paper - plus I have some Hanna ideas kickin' around in my head that I have been wanting to try as well!

Don't Hate Her Because She's Beautiful...

And here's the inside - hee hee...

OMG - isn't she hot!? I LOVE this new "Hey Chica" set from a new line of stamps at My Favorite Things called BC Dzyns - it's a line of stamps from Kim's daugter Brianna and I have to say I can't wait to see what she comes out with next!! I got this set in the mail today and I could not wait to ink it up - she is so much fun to color!! I colored her in with Copics and added a little bling rhinestone for her earring. I gave her a tattoo on her arm - 'cause that arm is just screaming for some ink! ;) I used a little swirl stamp from one of those Studio G $1 sets from Michael's for her tattoo. The patterned paper is from the Die Cuts with a View Rock Star stack - my all-time favorite stack - and I think this stamp was made for this stack! The flowers are Primas and the little pink rhinestones are from Hobby Lobby.

I'm also very excited to share that I have been chosen to be one of the October ambassadors for My Favorite Things!! I was one of the runners-up in the MFT Guest Designer challenge over on SCS - so I get to be an Ambassador at the next release party - I get to host a challenge at the October release party - plus I get a mini-set of my choice and $10 in MFT "cash" - pretty cool, huh?? I was SO excited when I found out and very honored to be chosen as well - thanks to Kim, Michelle, and everyone at MFT for this wonderful opportunity!!

Celebrate Fall

TGIF!!! I am so glad it's Friday - even with the short week - it's been pretty crazy around here! It's been lots of fun though - I have had a blast sharing all my Hanna cards with you this week!! :) I've got a fun card to share with you today using the new "Jump For Joy" Hanna Stamps set that was released after the party last night - isn't she just so adorable?? It's such a fun pose and lots of potential in this set for great Fall and Winter scenes!! This card is for the Friday Hanna Stamps challenge over on the Hanna members forum at SCS. Frances gave us a beautiful sketch to work with today - you should definitely check it out - here's the link...http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=379709. When I first saw this set - I imagined Hanna in an orange coat for some reason - not sure why - but I went with it - and I love the monochromatic look of the oranges on this card. I colored Hanna in with Copic markers and then cut her out to fit the oval on my card. I let her hang over the oval a bit so she looks like she is jumping out of it - LOL!! I embossed the light orange background with the Pumpkins Cuttlebug embossing folder. The scallops at the bottom were done with the Fiskars Threading Water punch. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and the flowers are Prima Sprites. The sentiment is from the Everday Sentiments set from Hanna Stamps.

Don't forget about the special one year anniversary promotion going on at www.hannastamps.com right now - for every $50 you spend - you'll have your name put in a drawing for a Copic Air Compressor or a $200 shopping spree!! Kristi also added a "Buy it all" option for those of you who want all the newly released sets - if you buy all 4 - you save 10% - plus it's just slightly over that $50 mark - so you could have your name put into the drawing for the compressor as well - what a deal!!

Thanks so much for stopping by - have a wonderful weekend!!!

Give Thanks

Happy Wednesday!! It's another big day of firsts here in our household - my littlest starts his first day of preschool today (he's moved up to the big "3's" class this year), my oldest has his first day of soccer practice today, and I start Physical Therapy today - I think we are gonna be pretty exhausted tonight!! I have never had physical therapy before - so I have NO idea what to expect - I recently found out that I have a mild case of Scoliosis in my spine and it's been causing quite a bit of back pain - so today I am starting physical therapy today to see if that will help - wish me luck!! Anywho - I do have a couple of sneak peeks to share with you today - I made these 2 cards using the new Thanksgiving Hanna set which is being released this Friday, September 5th - I LOVE this set - not only is the Hanna in it just beautiful - but there are lots of great stamps in it - some even to make a humorous Thanksgiving card.
This first one is a more elegant Thanksgiving card - I love the rich colors of Fall - it's such a beautiful time of year! Hanna was colored in with Copics and the long rectangles were cut with Nesties. The sentiment is from the Everyday Sentiments set now available at Hanna Stamps. The flowers are Petaloo and the little leaves were punched with the Martha Stewart "Branch" punch. I pieced the background together using 1 in X 1 in squares of patterned paper from last year's Die Cuts with a View Fall stack - and then machine stitched at all the seams.
This second card is a funny Thanksgiving card - poor little Turkey - he's doing a pretty good job pleading his case, huh? LOL!!! The turkey, "Eat Beef" sign, Before, and After stamps are all from the new Thanksgiving set. I used the Copic air brush system to airbrush the sky and grass around him. There is a little bit of Cuttlebug embossing with the new "Branches" folder on the dark brown strip behind the turkey. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and the cardstock is by Colormates.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope to see you all at the release party this Thursday night from 9-11 PM EST over on the Hanna Stamps forum at SCS! Don't forget about the special One Year Anniversary promotion going on at www.hannastamps.com now thru Oct. 1st - for every $50 you spend - you get your name entered into a drawing for that Copic Air Compressor!!

A Very Special Sophie G...

Check out our dear sweet Miss Sophie G - all ready for the ballet!! Isn't she just absolutely precious? She is a very special Sophie G as proceeds from the sale of this stamp will go to help children with cancer. Kristi has teamed up with Joy and Daisy at Eclectic Paperie to bring you this adorable image in honor of the young daughter of Joy and Daisy's friend who has cancer. Such a sweet stamp for such a worthy cause! This stamp will be released this Friday - September 5th - along with the other sets that Hanna Stamps is releasing this week. Kristi will have more details about the cause and this stamp at our release party over on the Hanna Stamps member's forum on SCS this Thursday night from 9-11 PM EST.

The Sophie G image on my card was colored in with Copics and I added a few pink rhinetones along her tutu to give her some sparkle for her big debut! I used my nesties to cut the circles and the big heart - the heart was also embossed with the Birds and Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder. I wanted the ribbon on my card to look like a tutu as well - so I gathered up some pink organdy ribbon into some ruffles and then machine sewed along the middle to hold the ruffles in place. The senitment is from a Studio G clear $1 stamp set from Michael's. The felt flowers are by Making Memories and the hydrangeas are by Prima. Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out all my sneak peeks I have for you today - I still have lots more to share - so stop back by tomorrow!!

Hanna and her Cats

Isn't Hanna just so sweet with her cat?? I've got a couple of cute little sneak peeks for you today using the new Cats set by Hanna Stamps which will be released along with 3 other new sets this Friday, September 5th. This is a GREAT set for cat lovers! It has all kinds of cat images in it - along with a bird cage and some birds - it's just a really adorable set! The first card I have from this set was done using the main Hanna image in the set - Hanna and her cat were colored in with Copic markers - I used a white gel pen to do the white polka dots on her shirt. The sentiment is from the "Everyday Sentimets" set by Hanna Stamps - which is available now. Check out that adorable argyle ribbon - I thought it went perfectly with the new Argyle Cuttlebug embossing folder. I found the ribbon at Hobby Lobby. The flowers are Primas and the little paw prints are buttons that I found in the $1.99 bins at Archiver's. The scallops at the bottom of the pink embossed cardstock was done with the Fiskars Threading Water border punch. The second peek I have for you of this set was done using this adorable cat image - I stamped the cat first and then stamped his little bowl - isn't he adorable!? He looks like he is peeking at you with that "Feed Me" look in his eyes - LOL! - which is why I thought this Rusty Pickle sentiment would be perfect to pair with him! The background paper is from the DCWV Pets Stack and the scalloped heart card was done with my heart nesties. The flowers are Primas and those buttons are the same buttons as on my first card.

Don't forget about the One Year Anniversary promotion Kristi has going on in the store from now until Oct. 1st - for every $50 you spend - you will be entered into a drawing for either a Copic Air Compressor or a $200 shopping spree at www.hannastamps.com - how awesome is that!? Also - be sure to stop by our release party this Thursday night from 9-11 PM EST over on the Hanna Stamps forum at SCS - there's gonna be fun challenges, prizes, and chatting - see you there!!

I just love this set - lots of really neat accessory stamps in this set - this card was made entirely with stamps from this set! The red kisses on the background were done using the kiss mark image from the set - I stamped them all using Brilliance Rocket Red ink. The little food images are from this set as well - I colored them in with Copic markers, cut them out and then popped them up on pop dots around my Hanna image. The sentiment is from this set as well. The cardstock is from Archiver's and the ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. The ovals were cut using my nesties.
