One Groovy Chick!!

Well - here she is - I've been teasing for a week about her and am SO excited to be able to share my creations with Hippie Chick Hanna today!!! Isn't she just AWESOME!! Peace, make love not war, and groovy, baby!!! I feel like I should have the Austin Powers theme song playing in the background today - hee hee...seriously - I saw this set at CHA in July at the Hanna Stamps booth and just squealed!! My mom always told me I was born 25 years too late - I shoulda been a young teenager screaming for those long-haired Beatles, a flower child in the 60's and a collegiate political activist in the 70's - LOL!! What's funny is that I was in High School in the early 90's and know that I had a pair of jeans almost exactly like these - I tried to bring back the flower child look - let me tell you - it didn't go over well in a small town - ROTFL!!! Anywho - back to my sneak peeks for today. This first card features the Hanna image in the new Hippie Chick set which will be released after the Release Party this Thursday, November 6th - this set is being released along with 3 other Hanna sets and 2 new Rileys. I colored my Hanna in with Copics, I used the Bazzill In Stitch'z Flourishes templates to do the embrodiered flourishes on my card. The flowers were done with a punch and the sentiment is from this set as well.

This next card I did features all the great accessory stamps that come in the Hippie Chick set - isn't that lava lamp the coolest? I stamped my white background with some of the images and then colored them in with Copics. I have seen these little purse cards around the web and I got to see an absolutely adorable one up close and personal when the very talented Sherrie Miller from our monthly card swap made one for last month's swap - she did a great job and I knew I had to try one - thanks for the inspiration Sherrie!! ;) I kinda took elements from different purse cards I have seen around the web to make this one. I used my circle and oval nestibilities to do the top of the purse and the handle. I added some brads to the handle and then some punched flowers to accent. This was a fun little card to make! I had a blast with the Hippie Chick set - it's definitely a must-have in my book - she's just too fun!! Thanks so much for stopping by today -this is only the start of a very fun release week - I've even got a surprise or two up my sleeve this week ;) - be sure to check out the other Hanna Stamps Design Team members blogs for more peeks and I hope to see you all at the release party this Thursday night from 9-11 PM EST over on the Hanna Stamps forum at SCS!!
